Fitness Warehouse

It’s appropriate that the Cardinal Greenway starts in central Richmond with a community monument to running, biking and working out.

Cycling & Fitness Warehouse stands a very short distance from the south trailhead of the 60-mile paved pathway that’s been called the best in Indiana. It travels north through Richmond and up for a dozen miles in Wayne County. It runs through Losantville, Muncie and ends in Marion. The pathway has become an artery for bringing visitors to Richmond.

And the Warehouse is there, greeting residents and visitors alike. This community ambassador sells fitness products and also sells people on the value of wellness. That goes for all ages and all fitness levels.

Its owners consider themselves community partners in building the quality of life of all area citizens. They don’t just talk it: They run it and bike it and even participate marathons and triathlons. They organize fitness groups. They are leaders in local events, sharing sponsorships with other community business and social organizations.

The building is a renovated old warehouse that is within easy walking distance of the downtown, Depot District and the Whitewater Gorge and Starr-Gennett area.

The Warehouse features more than a showroom for bikes, skateboards and running gear. It also has a yoga studio and indoor skatepark. It sells clothes, shoes and sunglasses.

Most of all, though, it sells quality of life.
